Sinus Infection Remedies

Probably the most effective of all sinus infection remedies is eucalyptus essential oil. Eucalyptus essential oil is very strong, so you just need a few drops.

Put a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil at the bottom of a large bowl and carefully fill it with steaming hot water. Quickly put a towel over your head and carefully lean over the bowl to breathe in the vapors.

Continue inhaling through your nose until the water cools down.

This is another one of the best sinus infection remedies that can be taken in several different ways.

Take it as a tea, take it as capsule form or take it as a tincture.

Dosage: As a tea, six cups per day. In capsule form, 1200 milligrams per day. In tincture form, four one-teaspoon doses per day.

Taking echinacea in the tea form is most recommended.

Add 6 heaping teaspoons of herb to 6 cups of cold water in a saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil, then lower the heat to simmer. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then strain.

That should be one day's supply.

Salt Water

Barbara from Florida writes in with one of her more effective sinus infection remedies: "Mix up some warm salty water and put that up your nose. This is best achieved with a syringe. This will clear up a sinus infection most of the time".
