Home Remedy For Ear Mites

Yellow Dock

This home remedy for ear mites is known to be one of the best. Mix 1 teaspoon of yellow dock herb with 1 pint of boiling water. Remove from heat and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Strain the mixture and let it cool until it is just slightly warm.

Using a dropper bottle, apply 2 dropperfuls in each ear and massage the ear. Then use a paper towel or napkin to clean the outer portion of the ear opening, being careful not to go too deeply into the ear canal.

Apply 1 time per day for 3 days, let the ears rest for 10 days and then repeat.

Wormwood Oil

To help prevent and combat ear mites, dip a cotton swab in wormwood oil and use it to clean out your pet's ears on a regular basis.

Almond Vitamin E

Combine 1/2 ounce of almond oil with 400 IU of vitamin E. This is another very effective home remedy for ear mites and it is applied the same as the yellow dock remedy, by using a dropper bottle.
