Home Remedies For Ear InfectionsApple Cider Vinegar To avoid getting ear infections, mix an equal amount of Apple Cider Vinegar with an equal amount of distilled water and use one drop in each ear after swimming. Hydrogen Peroxide Start most home remedies for ear infections by rinsing the infected ear with a 50-50 mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide and warm water using a bulb syringe. Grate three medium garlic cloves and put them in a small bowl. Cover them with olive oil and let the mixture stand overnight. Pour the mixture through a strainer. Put three to four drops in the infected ear and let it stay for about 5 minutes so it really soaks the ear canal good. Do this twice a day. Garlic, Calendula, and Mullein This is one of the best home remedies for ear infections. You will need oil extracts of each herb along with some Olive Oil. Mix together equal parts of each and put three to four drops of the mixture in the infected ear. Repeat every three to four hours. Garlic, Calendula, and Willow This premade mixture is a variation of the previous home remedy for ear infections that is just as effective.
Garlic, St. John's Wort, and Mullein This premade mixture is yet another variation of the previous two home remedies for ear infections and is another very effective solution.
Forsythia, Gentian, and Honeysuckle These three herbs in powder form are sprinkled on applesauce and given to children with ear infections. These herbs can also be used to make a tea. Pain Relieving Ear Drops This unique all natural formula promptly stimulates the body's natural ability to alleviate ear pain.
Breast Feeding Breast feeding is one of the most basic home remedies for ear infections. Studies involving formula fed babies and breast fed babies have shown that twice as many formula fed babies as breast fed babies developed an ear infection between the ages of 6 months and one year. Furthermore, the studies indicated that formula feeding was the most significant factor associated with ear infections, even more so than the child being in day care. Make a tea by mixing either a teaspoon of each herb or a dropperful of each tincture with one cup of boiling water. Drink this three times a day. Alcohol After swimming, or any time that you get water in your ears and have trouble getting it out, soak a small cottonball in Rubbing Alcohol and squeeze it into the ear. Tilt your head to let it drain out. This should remove any water and dry out the ear canal, thus reducing the chance of ear infections. ![]()
