Natural Herbal Fatigue Treatment

Fatigue Treatment

Exercise

Here's a real basic fatigue treatment you can start implementing right away. Do some form of exercising three to five times per week, 20-30 minutes each time. Even just simply walking can be adequate.

Folate

A deficiency of folic acid can also lead to fatigue. Foods such as spinach, asparagus, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and okra contain high amounts of the naturally occurring form of folic acid known as folate.

Gotu Kola

Gotu kola contains natural stimulants that make it a great herbal fatigue treatment. Take in capsule form, 100 mg per day.

Water

Fatigue is also caused by dehydration. Make sure you drink at least eight 8 ounce glasses of water each day. If you know in advance that you will be sweating and exerting yourself, start filling up your body with water the day before.

Another great fatigue treatment using water is to take a cold shower. Negative ions are emitted into the surrounding air from the falling water. These negative ions are known to make some people feel more energetic and happier.

Ginseng

Mix 1 teaspoon of dried herb in 1 cup of boiling water and let it sit for about 10 minutes before straining and drinking.

For an even more effective herbal fatigue treatment, take a daily dose of 400 mg of American, Asian, and Siberian Ginseng blend in capsule form.

Ginger

Ginger stimulates the immune system and increases energy levels. Mix 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger root into 1 cup of boiling water and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Strain it and enjoy.

Magnesium

Fatigue has been associated with deficiency of magnesium. Take a supplement, 400 mg per day, or, an even better all natural fatigue treatment which includes magnesium is a good salad consists of purslane, string beans and spinach.

Sleep

Get the proper amount of sleep. Most people don't consider the problem of getting too much sleep. When you oversleep, you tend to be sluggish and groggy all day long. For most people, 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night is ideal.

Licorice

Fatigue can occur when the body doesn't produce enough adrenal hormone. Licorice is a very good herbal fatigue treatment because it contains a natural equivalent to that adrenal hormone. Take in capsule form, 150 to 200 mg per day.

Licorice can raise blood pressure, so be careful not to take too much, and choose a product that safely contains about 12 percent licorice root.

Environment

If your house is usually all closed up and very dark inside, you will feel fatigued. Open up the blinds and let some sunshine in. Also, make sure your work area is well lit.

Green Drinks

Most all green drinks like wheatgrass or barley grass make an excellent all natural fatigue treatment. Wheatgrass and barley grass is also be taken in capsule form.

Smoking And Coffee

Smoking reduces the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream and therefore causes fatigue. Caffiene may make you feel more alert and energetic right after drinking a couple cups of coffee, but it soon wears off and has an opposite effect.
