Asthma Treatment

Grindelia

This natural asthma treatment helps to relax the muscles found in your airways. It also helps to open up bronchi that are constricted. Take 25 drops of tincture 3 times per day.

Quercetin

Quercetin helps to prohibit asthma causing allergic reactions. Take 250 mg per day.

Cranberry Juice

Take fresh cranberries, cook them and then mash them. Place the mashed cranberries in a sealed jar and refrigerate. This is a good asthma treatment because it contains ingredients that dilate the bronchial tubes.

When suffering an asthma attack, add 3 teaspoons of the mashed cranberries to 1 cup of hot water and drink slowly.

Boswellia

Take three 150 mg capsules 2 times per day for at least 6 months. This natural asthma treatment helps to maintain a healthy respiratory system, therefore reducing the symptoms of asthma overall.

Thyme

Mix 1 tablespoon of thyme into 2 cups of water and heat it to a boil. After it comes to a boil, remove it from the heat, cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam coming off the mixture.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an excellent asthma treatment because it inhibits the release of histamine, the chemical most responsible for allergy symptoms. Take 1000 mg per day to help prevent asthma attacks.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 helps to eliminate the congestion in the lungs that often causes the coughing and wheezing of an asthma condition. Take 200 mg 3 times per day.

Ginkgo

This is another very effective asthma treatment because it relaxes the muscles in the lungs and also decreases inflammation in the lungs. Take one 40 mg capsule 3 times per day for a few months. If you see improvement in your condition, start reducing the dosage slightly.

Aloe Vera

Put several aloe vera leaves into a pot of water and boil. When the steam starts to rise, inhale the vapors. You can drape a towel over the head and pan to enhance the effects.

Fennel Seed

Because it helps to loosen bronchial secretions, fennel seed is another good asthma treatment. Boil 1 cup of water, remove from heat, and mix in 2 teaspoons of bruised fennel seeds. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, then strain and drink. Sweeten if necessary.

Cayenne

Red pepper helps to dilate the bronchial passages and also enhances circulation. Add 1/8 teaspoon to your green tea.

Horseradish

Mix 3 tablespoons of horseradish with 1 cup of milk. Simmer the mixture for about 10 minutes and then strain it. Drink this herbal asthma treatment as needed to get relief.

Green Tea

Drink it on a semi-regular basis, as well as daily when you experience an asthma attack. Use unfermented dried leaves and make it strong, steep the tea bag for at least 10 minutes.

Honeysuckle Tea

Onions

Take a medium size onion and cut it into very thin slices. Put the slices inot a bowl and cover them with honey. Let this asthma treatment sit for about 12 hours, then scrape the honey off of the onions. Take 1 teaspoon of the honey 4 times per day.
